Rare colour combination, in a desirable high spec/ 4.0 straight six configuration. This car would suit an enthusiast. It’s had a good amount of work over the years to keep it working good and looking good, but as will all cars this age, especially jaguars, it will need a caring owner who is willing to improve and maintain it further. It’s a good rolling restoration that can be driven and enjoyed.

The car has had welding, bodywork, some replacement panels and some paintwork before, to a reasonable standard, but there’s always room for improvement, depending how particular you about cosmetics?

Faults/ work to do.

Some areas of paint work are mismatched and could be improved upon.

The headlamp reflectors are fading, so they could do with being rechromed or replaced?

Some wood veneers are cracking/ lifting lacquer in places, especially the ski slope & ash tray.

Some minor bubbling on the RH front wing, on the roof near the sun roof panel, and behind the rear mud guards.

The Pin stripe is not correct on LH wing, as the panel has been replaced.

Boot struts are a little weak, but they do usually hold the boot up when open,

Boot CL not working.

Headlining pinned at the back/ ideally requires a new one.

The original car phone is missing from the centre arm rest. These don’t work on the modern digital networks anyhow, but you may want to source another if you want the original look?

Small hole in the left front carpet). Not very noticeable though, as it’s nearly under the seat).

Some stains & a small burn mark on the drivers carpet.

Drivers seat has worn through the piping on the outer bolster (the leather is not ripped at least).

Small area of bubbling on the RH rear side bumper chrome. I can supply a good spare.

In summary, it’s a turn key, drive away classic Jaguar, ready to be enjoyed, and improved at the new owners leisure. With impressive documented service history paperwork.

Any questions, please ask, though I have tried to cover as much useful information as possible/ most of what any buyer would want to know. But it’s impossible to say absolutely everything about the car. Hence the info here should give you enough information to decide to come and view the car yourself, and check you are happy with it. The nearest rail station is Boston, and I can collect you from there if you wish to travel by rail.
