originally this part was off the Right side front. 
Could be used on the left front too if needed. 

Suitable for XJ40 86-92 VIN range up to 667828.

Tested working. Used condition.

Important note- when fitting, the latches must be very well lubricated, so that the solenoid is not trying to work against a latch that’s way too stiff. The latches should be lubricated at least every 5 years. Most seem to have never been done yet, which makes them way too stiff for the locking solenoids to work.  
If your latches are not adequately lubricated, the solenoid may not fully operate the lock system.
